Personal information you disclose to us

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you request an estimate, inspection or appointment, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us. The personal information we collect may include:

  • names;
  • phone numbers;
  • email addresses;
  • property and service addresses; and
  • the contents of messages, requests or other information you choose to provide.

Sensitive Information. We do not knowingly collect or process sensitive personal information.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

Information collected automatically

In Short: Some information — such as your IP address, device characteristics, and usage data — is collected automatically when you visit our Website.

When you access or use the Website, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information using cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies. This information may include your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, the pages and features you view, and dates/times of access, as well as general (approximate) location inferred from your IP address. We use this information to operate, secure, analyze and improve the Website and our Services, and for advertising and measurement as described below. When you use our online estimate tool, the property address you enter is used together with third-party mapping and aerial/satellite imagery services (such as the Google Maps Platform) to generate an estimate; your use of those features may also be subject to the applicable provider’s terms and privacy policy.

2. How Do We Process Your Information?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for marketing, security, and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, improve, and administer the Website and our Services;
  • respond to your inquiries and requests and provide customer support;
  • generate estimates, and schedule, confirm, conduct, and follow up on inspections, appointments, quotes, and services;
  • communicate with you, including by telephone call, email, and text/SMS message (subject to the consent described in our Terms of Service), about your inquiry, appointments, services, and account;
  • send you marketing and promotional communications, where permitted (you may opt out at any time);
  • perform analytics and research, and understand how users interact with the Website, so we can improve it and our advertising;
  • deliver and measure advertising, including through third-party advertising and analytics partners;
  • protect the security and integrity of our Website, prevent fraud, and protect our rights, property and safety and those of others;
  • comply with applicable law, legal process, and our legal obligations, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims and enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements; and
  • fulfill any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection, with your consent, or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.

We may create and use aggregated, anonymized or de-identified information (which does not identify you) for any lawful purpose, including to operate, analyze, improve, and market our Services, and we may retain and use such information without restriction.

3. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?

In Short: We may share information in the situations described in this section and/or with the following categories of third parties.

We may share your personal information in the following situations:

  • Service Providers and Vendors. We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents (“service providers”) who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work — for example, website hosting and data storage, databases, scheduling, communications and text-messaging, mapping and imagery, analytics, customer relationship management, payment processing, and marketing.
  • Advertising and Analytics Partners. We may share certain online identifiers, device information and usage data with advertising and analytics providers to deliver, target, and measure advertising and to analyze use of our Website. Depending on applicable law, some of this activity may be considered “selling” or “sharing” personal information or “targeted advertising.” See Section 7 and Section 8 for your choices.
  • Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
  • Legal and Safety. We may disclose your information where we believe it is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of our company, our customers, or others.
  • Affiliates. We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Notice.
  • With Your Consent or at Your Direction. We may disclose your information for any other purpose with your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell your personal information for money. To the extent any sharing described above is considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for “targeted advertising” under applicable law, you may exercise the choices described in Sections 7 and 8.

4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required or permitted by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, warranty, or other legal requirements). When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

5. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

6. Do We Collect Information From Minors?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at (971) 444-6654.

7. What Are Your Privacy Rights?

In Short: Depending on your state or country of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal information.

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information: (a) to request access to and a copy of the personal information we hold about you; (b) to request that we correct inaccurate information; (c) to request that we delete your information; (d) to opt out of the processing of your information for purposes of targeted advertising, the “sale” or “sharing” of your information, or certain profiling; and (e) to withdraw consent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Withdrawing your consent. If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 10. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal, nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

Opting out of marketing. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails, by replying STOP to a text message, or by contacting us at (971) 444-6654. You will continue to receive non-promotional, service-related messages (for example, appointment confirmations).

How to exercise your rights. To make a request, contact us at (971) 444-6654 or by mail at the address in Section 10. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will consider and act upon your request in accordance with applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where permitted by law. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may have the right to appeal our decision by contacting us, or to lodge a complaint with your state attorney general or applicable regulator.

8. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features and Opt-Out Signals

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. Where required by applicable law, we will treat a recognized opt-out preference signal (such as the Global Privacy Control) as a valid request to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for the browser or device from which it is sent. If a new standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

9. Do We Make Updates to This Notice?

In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Notice. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of the Services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Notice to the extent permitted by law.
